Libre 2 Plus system is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system that show how
food, meals, and exercise can impact your glucose levels to help you make informed
decisions and live with diabetes — on your terms. It is is designed to liberate
patients from the hassles of finger pricking10 and provide healthcare
professionals with deeper insights to make more informed treatment decisions.
How is continuous
glucose monitoring (CGM) different to blood glucose monitoring (BGM)?
Traditional blood glucose monitoring provides users with glucose readings that
represent distinct points in time. Users do not get comprehensive information
regarding how their glucose levels have been changing, nor do they get information
about where their glucose levels are going. Without such information, it can be easy
to miss significant glucose fluctuations - the ups and downs. Continuous glucose
monitoring gives a more complete picture of glucose fluctuations by providing glucose
values dependent on the system from every minute to every 5 minutes. Understanding how
their glucose levels have been changing makes it possible for users and their
healthcare team to take appropriate actions and make therapy adjustments. The Libre 2
Plus system is user-friendly way to discreetly obtain glucose readings. The Libre 2
Plus system offers benefits of both CGM and BGM – on one hand it provides a complete
picture of glucose variations while on the other, it allows users to know their
current glucose readings at a glance on their phone.12
Flash Glucose Monitoring is designed as an affordable and easy way to generate the
dense glucose data needed for an insightful glycaemic picture. What makes flash
glucose monitoring unique is the quick scan of the reader over the Sensor to collect
glucose data. Another key feature of the flash glucose monitoring system is the small
and fully disposable Sensor that lasts up to 15 days, requires no finger prick
calibration, no routine finger pricks10 and that automatically
measures, captures and stores 90 days of glucose data.227
How does the Libre 2
Plus system
work?
To obtain a glucose reading, users simply take a quick glance at their phone13. This gives the user more
information than BGM without the need for finger pricks10. Alternatively, users may
retrieve their glucose reading by a quick scan of the Libre 2 Reader over the Sensor
to collect glucose data. The Libre 2 Plus system also offers software to generate
concise reports that provide a clear analysis of the user’s glucose data.
How accurate is
Libre 2 Plus?
The Libre 2 Plus system has been clinically proven to be accurate, stable, and
consistent over 14
days. It does not require finger prick calibration and may be used in place of routine
finger prick
glucose testing.
How current is my
glucose information?
The Libre 2 Plus sensor measures glucose every minute and updates glucose values in
the app every
minute. Historic glucose readings (shown on the 8-hr glucose graph) are plotted every
15 minutes.
Is interstitial
fluid (ISF) a
reasonable alternative for blood? What about the lag?
ISF is a reasonable alternative for blood. Glucose can be measured in the ISF–the
fluid around the body’s cells where glucose freely diffuses from capillaries to the
interstitial space243. The Libre 2 Plus sensor
sugar readings lag behind a finger prick blood sugar reading by approximately 2
minutes.55
Can the Libre 2 Plus
system be used
by children?
Yes. The indication for children (age 2 - 12) is limited to those who are supervised
by a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age. The caregiver is responsible for
managing or assisting the child to manage the Reader and Sensor and also for
interpreting or assisting the child to interpret Sensor glucose readings.
What payment methods
are available?
You can pay quickly and securely online via credit card or debit card.
When will I receive
my order?
It normally takes up to 3 working days to process and deliver your order, assuming
it's placed and paid
for successfully before 2pm.
How do I track my
order?
You can check the status of your order 24/7. Simply look up the tracking number on
your shipment update
to see the current status of your order.
How do I store the
product at home?
The Libre 2 Plus sensor should be stored between 4°C to 25°C.
Can you deliver the
Libre 2 Plus
system to another country?
No, we cannot deliver to addresses outside Singapore.
What is a Trend
Arrow? How does it
work? And what does it tell me?
The Libre 2 Plus system offers a Trend Arrow with each glucose reading which tells
users which way and how quickly glucose levels are changing. So, at any given time,
users not only know what their glucose level is currently, but also which way it is
heading. Depending on the direction of the trend arrow, users can find out if their
glucose levels are changing gradually, moderately, or rapidly, facilitating
decision-making.
Glucose trend arrow tells you the direction in which glucose is heading:
The direction in which glucose is heading
Glucose is rising quickly (more than 0.1 mmol/L per minute)
Glucose is rising (between 0.06 and 0.1 mmol/L per minute)
Glucose is changing slowly (less than 0.06 mmol/L per minute)
Glucose is falling (between 0.06 and 0.1 mmol/L per minute)
Glucose is falling quickly (more than 0.1 mmol/L per minute)
Libre 2 Plus Sensor
Who is Libre 2 Plus
indicated for?
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Flash Glucose Monitoring System Reader (“Reader”) when used
with a FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Flash Glucose Monitoring System Sensor (“Sensor”) is
indicated for measuring interstitial fluid glucose levels in people (age 2 and older)
with diabetes mellitus, including pregnant women. The Reader and Sensor are designed
to replace blood glucose testing in the self-management of diabetes, including dosing
of insulin. The indication for children (age 2 - 12) is limited to those who are
supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age. The caregiver is
responsible for managing or assisting the child to manage the Reader and Sensor and
also for interpreting or assisting the child to interpret Sensor glucose readings.50.
How big is Libre 2
Plus sensor? How deeply is it inserted?
The Libre 2 Plus sensor is discreet as always, 5mm in height & 35mm in diameter. The
portion of the sensor that gets inserted under the skin is less than 0.4mm wide and
it’s inserted only about 5mm under the skin. Studies indicate that a vast majority of
users found the insertion no more painful than a typical finger prick glucose test50.
How do I ensure the
sensor sticks on my upper arm?
Use the supplied disposable applicators to apply the Libre 2 Plus sensor to the back
of your upper arm. It should stay in place for up to 15-days, even while you shower,
swim, bathe or exercise.9
Please follow the instructions found in the user manual for skin preparation and
application.
Can Libre 2 Plus
Sensor be placed on the belly?
Libre 2 Plus sensor is only approved for use on the back of the upper arm.
How long can the
Libre 2 Plus sensor be worn?
The disposable sensor is designed to adhere to the back of the upper arm and provide
accurate glucose readings for up to 15 days. After 15 days, remove the sensor by
peeling off the adhesive pad.
You can take as many glucose readings as you want while the sensor is being worn.
What happens to the
sensor after the 15 day wear period?
Your sensor automatically stops working after 15 days. Then you can start a new
sensor, LibreLink app will identify that it is a new sensor and ask if you want to
start it.
Do not use the Libre 2 Plus sensor past the expiration date. If your Sensor expires
during the 15-day wear, start a new Sensor before the Sensor expires.14
How do I remove the
Libre 2
Plus sensor after 15-days?
Pull up the edge of the adhesive that keeps your Sensor attached to your skin. Slowly
peel away from your skin in one motion.
Note: Any remaining adhesive residue on the skin can be removed with warm, soapy
water or isopropyl alcohol.
Is the accuracy of
the sensor consistent over the 15 day wear period?
Data from a clinical trial showed 99.9% of all Libre 2 Plus sensor readings fell
within Zones A and B of a consensus error grid (a tool used to analyze clinical
accuracy). Readings that fall within Zones A and B mean that there is little to no
effect on the clinical outcome based on the action users take on that reading.2
The same clinical trial also showed that the Libre 2 Plus sensor met and exceeded the
US FDA’s strict iCGM standards for accuracy performance
10, 85.
Additionally, no confirmatory finger pricks10 required for treatment
decisions even when glucose is low, falling or changing rapidly.
Why does the system
require a 1 hour warm up period?
Abbott Diabetes Care is committed to making its products safe for the user. Soon
after
the insertion of a Sensor, there are physiological processes that happen as the Sensor
and
the body equilibrates. These processes are part of the body's natural response to the
Sensor
insertion. The equilibration process can vary from one person to another and may not
always
happen in the same manner for any one person. Therefore, we have decided to let the
system
equilibrate for 1 hour to ensure that the system is providing accurate glucose
readings.
Do I need to
calibrate
the Libre 2 Plus system?
No. Unlike other sensor-based glucose monitoring systems that are currently
available, the Libre 2 Plus sensor is factory calibrated and requires no finger prick
calibrations during the 15-day wear period. Libre 2 Plus system is a factory
calibrated Sensor that has been proven to safely and successfully replace SMBG4,28 and deliver important clinical
benefit. Specific details about our calibration process are proprietary.
Why is the Sensor
not
as accurate during the 1st day of wear?
The accuracy of Sensors that monitor glucose generally improves after the first day
of use.
During the first day, the Sensor may need to acclimate to its physiological
environment.
Accuracy should improve after the first day and will remain consistent over the wear
period.
Can I bathe, shower,
swim or exercise while wearing a sensor?
Yes. The sensor can be worn while bathing, showering, swimming or exercising. The
sensor should not be taken below a depth of 1 metre (3 feet) in water, and should not
be submerged in water for more than 30 minutes.
What happens to the
sensor if it is worn when it's warmer or colder than the recommended temperature range?
Move to a location where temperature is appropriate and scan in a few minutes.
Does the Libre 2
Plus sensor have a new adhesive?
The Libre 2 Plus sensor has the same adhesive as the Libre sensor.
What is size of the
Libre 2 Plus sensor?
Libre 2 Plus sensor is about the size of the 50 cents coin; it is the same as the
Libre sensor at 35x5mm.
Why are there new
accuracy results for the Libre 2 Plus sensor (from the Libre 2 Plus sensor)
Abbott is continuously innovating and finding new ways to make diabetes management
easier for people. Because modifications were made to the sensor, a new clinical
accuracy study was required to establish performance of the modified sensor. The Libre
2 Plus sensor demonstrated an improved accuracy2. In addition, performance testing
out to 15-day wear was conducted.
How is the Libre 2
Plus sensor different from the Libre sensor?
The Libre 2 Plus sensor can be worn up to 15-days and is indicated for children 2
years and older, whereas the Libre sensor can be worn up to 14-days and is indicated
for children 4 years and older. The Libre 2 Plus sensor also demonstrates improved
accuracy2.

iPhone until you hear a tone and/or feel a vibration, which indicates the scan is
complete.
How do the reports
for Libre 2 Plus
system compare to BGM reports?
The Libre reports provide much greater detail than BGM reports given that the Libre 2
Plus system
is measuring glucose on a continuous basis, while BGM only captures a glucose reading
when you
perform a blood glucose test.
How often does the
Libre 2 Plus
system check glucose to determine if an alert is needed?
The Libre 2 Plus system checks to see if an alert should be received every minute.14
If my Libre 2 Plus
sensor
transmits alerts, will my sensor make a sound when I get an alert?
Your sensor does not issue an alert, alerts are received on the phone app.
I have a pacemaker.
Will
the Libre 2 Plus system interfere with my pacemaker?
The performance of the Libre 2 Plus system has not been evaluated when used with
other
implanted medical devices, such as pacemakers, so a person who wears a pacemaker
should not
use the Libre 2 Plus system.
Is the Libre 2 Plus
system Bluetooth connection secure?
The Libre 2 Plus system uses an authenticated login procedure and encryption to
prevent
unauthorized devices from pairing to your sensor and accessing data through a
Bluetooth connection.
What substances
could
interfere with the results generated by the Libre 2 Plus system?
Ascorbic acid and salicylic acid may interfere with the Sensor glucose readings.
Taking
ascorbic acid while wearing the Sensor may falsely raise the Sensor glucose readings.
Taking
salicylic acid may slightly lower the Sensor glucose readings. The level of inaccuracy
depends
on the amount of the interfering substance active in the body.
Will the accuracy of
the
Libre 2 Plus system be impacted by an illness such as a cold or the flu?
For specific information about interactions between illness and your glucose levels,
please
contact your health care professional.
What if the Libre 2
Plus
sensors is packed in luggage, what about the scanners that luggage goes through either
checked or carry on?
The Libre 2 reader and the Libre 2 Plus sensor can be exposed to common electrostatic
(ESD)
and electromagnetic interference (EMI), including airport metal detectors. Your Libre
2 reader and
Sensor can safely go through these when packed in luggage/carry-on or in the security
tray. However,
the Libre 2 reader and the Libre 2 Plus sensor should not be exposed to some airport
scanners
(i.e. x-ray and millimeter radio-wave). If in doubt about the type of security scan
your reader
and Sensor are passing through, notify the Security Officer prior to proceeding
through the airport
security checkpoint and request another type of screening to be performed by the
Security Officer.

approved in the Singapore market?
Yes, the LibreLink app is free to download and is approved by Health Science
Authority (HSA) in Singapore.
Are there other apps
available that
are approved for use with Libre 2 Plus sensors?
No, the LibreLink app is the only app that has been tested by Abbott Diabetes Care to
be compatible with Libre 2 Plus sensors. The LibreLink 12 app was developed to ensure
compliance with local regulations, including safety and performance requirements in
accordance with the intended use. Any product that is intended to be compatible with
Libre 2 Plus sensors would also need to comply with these regulations as well.
What is near-field
communication (NFC)
and how do I know if my phone has it?
NFC is the wireless communication technology that enables your Libre 2 Plus sensors
to wirelessly transmit data to another device.
For Android users: Your Android phone must have NFC capabilities and NFC must be
enabled. Many of the latest Android phones support NFC. Check your phone's manual or
go to the phone’s Settings menu and look for settings related to ‘NFC’, ‘Connections’,
‘Sharing’, or ‘Wireless & Networks.’
For iPhone users: You must have an iPhone 8 or higher running iOS 11 or higher to
utilize the NFC capability needed to scan the Libre 2 Plus sensor.
Is the app approved
for pediatric use
or pregnant women?
The app has the same indications for use as the Libre 2 Plus system. Please see the
Libre 2 Plus
system indications for use for your country.
How do I scan my
Libre 2 Plus
sensor with my phone?
Android: After you’ve applied a Libre 2 Plus sensor to the back of your
upper arm, open the app and hold the back of your Android phone near (exact distance
will vary by phone) the Libre 2 Plus sensor to scan it. The size and location of the
NFC antenna in Android phones varies by make and model, so you may have to move the
phone around to find the best position for scanning the Libre 2 Plus sensor.
Once you have found the optimal scan position, wait for the app to produce two
distinct tones or
vibrations before you move the phone away from the Libre 2 Plus sensor. The first tone
indicates the
phone’s NFC has recognized the sensor. The second tone indicates the scan is complete.
iPhone: After you’ve applied a Libre 2 Plus sensor to the back of your
upper arm, open the app and tap one of the scan buttons within the app to put the
iPhone in a scan ready state. There are two types of scan buttons – a blue button on
the Home screen and a gray scan icon in the top right corner of most screens. Hold the
top edge of your iPhone near the sensor and do not move your iPhone until you hear a
tone and/or feel a vibration, which indicates the scan is complete.
Do I have to remove
the case on my phone to scan the sensor?
You may or may not have to remove your phone case – it depends on the material that
the case is made
from, how thick the case is, and how well your phone’s NFC antenna works. If your
phone case is made
from plastic or silicone or another non-conductive material, you will probably be able
to scan the
sensor without removing the case. If the case is aluminum, metal or anything else that
has a conductive
surface, you may need to remove the case before scanning your sensor. The thickness of
the case can also
make a difference. If your case is very thick, it could prevent the phone from
scanning the sensor.
Can the app replace my Libre 2 reader?
Yes. The app was developed using the same technology that is in the Libre 2 reader for receiving and processing glucose data, so it can also be used for routine glucose monitoring. The app can be used instead of or in combination with the Libre 2 reader.
Can I use my Libre 2 reader and LibreLink app with the same sensor?
There’s no need to use a separate blood glucose meter for routine testing. 10 The app allows you to get
glucose results as often as you like by simply scanning your Libre 2 Plus sensor with
your phone.
However, a finger prick test using a blood glucose meter is required during times of
rapidly changing
glucose levels when interstitial fluid glucose levels may not accurately reflect blood
glucose levels,
if hypoglycaemia or impending hypoglycaemia is reported by the Sensor, or when
symptoms do not match the
Sensor readings.
Can I use my Libre 2
Plus reader and LibreLink app with the same sensor?
You can choose to monitor your glucose levels with either the app, the reader, or both. You can use the LibreLink app and the Libre 2 reader with the same sensor, as long as you start the sensor with the reader first, and then scan the newly started sensor with your phone.
Remember that the LibreLink app and Libre 2 readers do not share data with each other. For example, if you switch between your reader and the app, you may see gaps in your glucose data, which will affect the reports available through the reader, the LibreLink app, and LibreView. It is important to continue scanning your sensor with either the app or the reader at least once every eight hours so you and your healthcare professional can get a complete picture of your glucose trends and patterns.
Can I use the
LibreLink app
to scan someone else’s sensor?
The LibreLink app is intended to be used with only one sensor (and one person) at a
time.
Each app account is associated with one person. However, people who use the LibreLink
app can
connect with their caregivers if they are using a separate app called LibreLinkUp.
LibreLinkUp allows
caregivers to remotely monitor glucose readings performed by their love ones.
Can the LibreLink
app be
used to make insulin dosing decisions?
Yes. People with diabetes can use Libre 2 Plus sensors with the app to better
understand the impact
of actions like eating, exercise, and taking insulin based on their glucose levels.
They can also make
day-to-day therapy decisions when using the app with a Libre 2 Plus sensor, including
insulin dosing
decisions, based on guidance from their healthcare professional.
Will the LibreLink
app work
in ‘airplane mode’?
Yes. If you use an Android phone, you may need to go to your phone’s settings and
reactivate NFC when
your phone is in airplane mode. You can scan with your iPhone in airplane mode by
tapping one of the
scan buttons in the app to put it in a scan ready state.
What if I don’t have
phone service or
Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection are only required for initial app setup
(downloading / installing the
app, creating an account, or signing in) and sharing your glucose information with
your care team or
with other connected apps. The app does not require a Wi-Fi or a mobile data
connection to scan your
sensor or to record your current glucose readings. During periods when your phone is
operating in a
disconnected state, your data will only be uploaded to LibreView after a Wi-Fi or
mobile data connection
is restored.
Does the LibreLink
app cause
my phone battery to deplete more quickly?
No, the LibreLink app is meant to be used as often as you like and should not have a
noticeable effect on battery life beyond your normal usage patterns.
What happens if my
phone battery dies?
If your phone battery dies, charge your phone to continue using the LibreLink app.
Your data
will not be lost if the phone battery dies and you can scan the sensor while the phone
is being charged.
How do I retrieve my

account to use the LibreLink app?
LibreView is used to manage your account information and enables detailed reporting
and data sharing.
Once the app is installed and you accept the terms of use, you will need to create a
LibreView account
in order to start using the app. LibreView allows you to share your glucose data with
your healthcare
professional and other apps that connect with LibreLink app.
What kind of
information does the app
collect and what happens with that information?
The app stores your account information, glucose data, notes, and sensor information
within the app on
your phone, so it is your responsibility to limit access to your phone to protect
personal information.
The app also automatically uploads this data in LibreView, a secure cloud-based data
repository. Please
read the Privacy Notice for more information.
Is my data safe?
What will Abbott do to protect patient data?
Abbott and its partners comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws in users' jurisdictions. Please read the End User License Agreement and Terms of Use or the Privacy Notice within the app or at freestylelibre.com.sg to ensure that you are comfortable with the data handling practices that govern the use of the app and LibreView; otherwise, you should not install the app.
What happens if I
lose or change my
phone?
If you lose your phone, download the app again on a compatible phone and sign in with
your account
information. If you have an active sensor and need to reinstall the app, when you sign
into your
existing account, you can continue using your active sensor until the end of its
useful life. You will
not be able to view historical data in the new installation of the app, but this data
will be available
in LibreView.
What is the
LibreLinkUp app and how
does it work with the LibreLink app?
LibreLinkUp is a companion app to the LibreLink app, which allows glucose readings to
be
automatically shared with your caregivers in near real-time. Both you and your
caregiver must have a
network connection to share and receive glucose readings. To add a LibreLinkUp
connection through the
LibreLink app, simply tap Share in the main menu and follow the on-screen
instructions.
What should I do if
I have questions
about the app or my data?
If you have any questions about the app or your data, including questions on how to
close your
LibreView account, go to FreeStyleLibre.com.sg for customer support contact
information.
Can my healthcare
professional access
my reports remotely e.g. over the internet or cloud?
The LibreLink 12 app will automatically sync
your glucose data to LibreView 24, which is a secured cloud-based
solution and your healthcare professional will be able to access from any compatible
internet-connected device. Reports are also available when the reader is connected to
a computer; you can send the pdf version of your reports to your healthcare
professional via e-mail (with your healthcare professional's permission).
How does scan to
backfill work?
If a user discovers a gap in their glucose data on the graph, they can scan their Libre 2 Plus sensor with the LibreLink12 app to recover and fill in data from the last 8 hours.
Will the app alert
users that they
have a data gap on their graphs?
Yes, the app will prompt users once per sensor whenever a gap > 2 hours appears on
the glucose graph.
What information is
captured in the
Logbook?
The Logbook will display the following information:
Notes
Food
Rapid-Acting Insulin
Long-Acting Insulin
Exercise
Comments
Glucose values captured via a scan
I received a sensor
Too Hot or Too
Cold message, what does this mean and what should I do?
If you receive the sensor Too Hot or Too Cold message, this means that your sensor is
too hot or cold
to provide a glucose reading. You should move to a location where the temperature is
appropriate and
check again in a few minutes.
Can I edit a Note
from the Home
Screen?
Yes, users can edit a note on the Home Screen by tapping on the Edit Note button,
selecting the note,
and tapping on the ‘pencil' icon to adjust any previously captured information.
The Edit Note button will display on the home screen once a note has been logged and
while the glucose
value is still current.
How are error codes
captured in the
app's Event Log?
For error codes to be captured in the app's Event Log, you must first view the error
message that's
displayed in the app for the error code to be captured and reflected in the Event Log.
I received an “App
Permission”
required message in my LibreLink app, what is this for and what should I do?
If you see this message in the app, it means that Bluetooth for the LibreLink 12 app is turned off.
If you wish to receive real-time glucose readings, you will need to turn on Bluetooth
access for the
LibreLink LibreLink1 app.
Follow the steps below to turn on Bluetooth access for the LibreLink 12 app:
Tap the Settings icon on your iPhone
Tap LibreLink
Toggle Bluetooth to the ON position
Are there any
actions users need to take if they use a Focus Mode on their iPhone?
Yes. If you use the Focus mode feature with your iPhone, it's important to customize each of your Focus modes to allow Time Sensitive Notifications from the LibreLink12 app by turning the toggle to the ON position.
You should also ensure Time Sensitive Notifications are enabled for the LibreLink12 app under your phone Settings.
Do I need to keep
the App running in
the background and if so, will that drain my phone battery?
Yes, it is required to keep the LibreLink12 app running in the background. We have not seen a reduction in mobile phone battery life for users receiving real-time glucose readings.
LibreView
What is LibreView
and how does it
work with the LibreLink app?
LibreView is a cloud-based diabetes management system. LibreView provides a secure
repository for data from your LibreLink app, and allows you to easily share your
glucose data with your healthcare professional or others, if you wish. Data is

How can I get more
help on LibreView?
Call our Customer Care Team at 1 800 272 2881 or +65 3138 3799
Will I need to have
administrator privileges on my computer to use LibreView? (For Healthcare Professionals)
You will need local administrator privileges to install the LibreView Device Drivers
on the computer you’ll be using, and to update the drivers periodically. The drivers
enable LibreView24 to upload glucose data from a
USB device, like a Reader. Once the drivers are installed, you don’t need admin
privileges to use LibreView24. Keep in mind, domain or
network admin user roles may not be sufficient if you’re working in a large healthcare
organization. You may need to ask your IT team for assistance.
Note: We recommend restarting your computer after you install or update your device
drivers.
The LibreView data management software is intended for use by both patients and
healthcare
professionals to assist people with diabetes and their healthcare professionals in the
review, analysis
and evaluation of historical glucose meter data to support effective diabetes
management. The LibreView
software is not intended to provide treatment decisions or to be used as a substitute
for professional
healthcare advice.
What will I see in a
patient’s Event
Log? (For Healthcare Professionals)
A patient’s Event Log displays their account-related activity. You will also see if
the action was
completed by the patient or Care Team member(s), and the time and date the action took
place.
All Professional users with access to the patient’s data can view their Event Log to
monitor actions
taken.
LibreLinkUp App
What’s the
difference between a
LibreLink app and LibreLinkUp app?
The LibreLink app13 is for people with diabetes.
They wear a Libre 2 Plus sensor which sends glucose readings to their app, so they can
monitor their glucose on their smartphone.
The LibreLinkUp21 app is an app for family,
friends, and caregivers of someone with diabetes. It enables them to receive glucose
data on their smartphone, keeping them in the loop. It’s a support app, so it isn’t
used with a Libre 2 Plus sensor.
Can I use glucose
data from my
LibreLinkUp app to make treatment decisions?
While it might be tempting, glucose data on your LibreLinkUp21 app shouldn’t be used for
treatment or dosing decisions. Only use the primary LibreLink app13, and/or work with a healthcare
professional for treatment decisions.
Does the LibreLinkUp
app have an age limit?
People ages 18+ can create an account in the LibreLinkUp21 app unless local law defines
adulthood at a different age.
How does the
LibreLinkUp app work?
Think of it as a digital loop. The person wearing a Libre 2 Plus sensor receives
glucose data on their LibreLink app13. That data is transmitted to
the LibreView24 cloud, which sends it to you,
the LibreLinkUp app21 user who is following them.
How do I connect
using LibreLinkUp?
Ask the person you want to follow to send you an invitation from their LibreLink app13. Download the LibreLinkUp21 app on your smartphone and
accept their invitation, so you can start receiving their glucose data and
notifications.
How many people can
I follow with my LibreLinkUp app?
You can follow up to twenty (20) LibreLink app13 users with your LibreLinkUp app21. The same goes for LibreLink
app users. They can share glucose data with up to twenty (20) LibreLinkUp users.
What information can
I see on my
LibreLinkUp app?
You’ll see your Connection’s current glucose reading and trend arrow, which shows the
direction their
glucose is heading.
You won’t see:
Information about unsuccessful scans or scan errors
Notes about things like insulin, food, and exercise
At times the trend arrow may not appear with the reading
When will I begin
receiving my
Connection’s glucose data after they start a new sensor?
You will begin seeing their glucose data in your LibreLinkUp21 app 60 minutes after they scan
a new sensor to start it.
When my Connection
scans their sensor,
will I see their glucose data right away?
That can depend on a few things, like Internet connectivity and network speed for you
and your
Connection. You should see their glucose data within seconds if you’re both connected
to the Internet.
The same goes for Connections receiving automatic glucose readings on their app.
Will I see my
Connection’s glucose data each time they scan their sensor?
Yes, each time your Connection successfully scans their Libre 2 Plus System sensor
with their LibreLink app13, you’ll see their glucose data in your app21.
Keep in mind, if your Connection scans their Libre 2 Plus System sensor with their
Libre 2 Reader instead of their smartphone, you won’t receive their glucose data.
Libre 2 Readers aren’t Internet-enabled, so they can’t be used to share glucose data
like the app does.
Where can I see my
Connection’s
previous glucose data on my LibreLinkUp app?
You’ll see your Connection’s most recent 12 hours of glucose history on the Home
screen of your LibreLinkUp app21. You’ll find their scans
notifications for the last 2 weeks in your app’s Logbook.
When my phone, or my
Connection’s
phone, isn’t connected to the Internet for a while, like on a flight, what will my app and
notifications
look like once we’re back on the network?
The glucose graph in your LibreLinkUp21 app will fill in with the last
12 hours of glucose readings, and your Logbook will show the last 2 weeks of scans.
You will also see the latest notification.
How do I get the
LibreLinkUp app?
It’s easy. If you’re using an Android smartphone, you’ll download the app21 from the Google Play store. If
you have an iPhone, download the app from the App Store.
Do I need an
Internet connection to
use my LibreLinkUp app?
Yes, you and your Connection both need Internet connectivity for you to receive their
glucose data and
notifications.
How do I connect my
LibreLinkUp app to
a LibreLink app user?
The person you want to connect with will invite you from their LibreLink app13. If they’re using a LibreLink
app, ask them to open it and follow these steps:
Tap the Menu Icon or Profile
Tap Connected Apps
Under LibreLinkUp, tap Connect or Manage
Tap “Add Connection.”
Enter the LibreLinkUp Connection’s information
Tap “Add” to send an invitation
Once they’ve sent you an invitation from their app, check your email. Then follow the
instructions on how to download your LibreLinkUp21 app and register for an
account.
The last step is to log into your LibreLinkUp app and accept their invitation. Ta-da.
You’re connected.
Does a LibreLink app
user
also need to have the LibreLinkUp app to share glucose data?
No, LibreLink app13 users don’t need the
LibreLinkUp app21 to share glucose data with
LibreLinkUp app users.
Can a LibreLink app
user
receive glucose data from another Libre 2 Plus systems app user?
The only way a LibreLink app user can receive glucose data from another LibreLink app13 user is to download the
LibreLinkUp21 app and connect with them.
When a LibreLink app
user
invites someone to connect, do they have to use the same first and last name their
Connection uses in their
LibreLinkUp app account?
Their first and last names can be different, but their email address needs to be the
same for both apps13,21.
Can a LibreLink app
user see
whether the Connection they invited has downloaded the LibreLinkUp app and accepted their
invitation?
Yes, LibreLink app13 users can see their active
Connections in the app in the Connected Apps menu.
Can a LibreLink app
user
stop sharing their glucose data with a LibreLinkUp app Connection?
Yes, LibreLink app13 users can stop sharing glucose data at any time by following
these steps
in their app:
Tap the Navigation Menu
Tap Connected Apps
Under LibreLinkUp, tap Manage.
Tap the name of the Connection you want to stop sharing data with
Tap Stop Sharing
That person will no longer receive your glucose data or notifications in their
LibreLinkUp21 app. Their name will also go
away in your list of Connections in your LibreLink app.
My Connection
accidentally deleted me
in their LibreLink app. How can we reconnect?
Easy. They will simply create a new connection from their LibreLink app13 and invite you to connect again.
I deleted my
Connection’s information
in my LibreLinkUp app. How can I add them back?
They will need to create a new connection in their LibreLink app13 and invite you to connect again.
If I un-install and
re-install my
LibreLinkUp app, will I still be able to view glucose data from my existing Connections?
Yes, just sign into your same account. You’ll see your Connection’s glucose data in
your newly installed LibreLinkUp21 app.
Why am I not getting
notifications
from my LibreLinkUp app?
Check your Notifications Settings screen to make sure Notifications are enabled. It’s
easy.
Go to your Connection’s glucose graph screen in the app.
Tap the Gear icon.
Toggle ON to receive notifications from that Connection.
Repeat steps 1-3 for other Connections.
Still not getting notifications? Try going to the Notifications settings in your
smartphone’s operating system and turn on notifications for your LibreLinkUp21 app.
Will I receive sound
notifications if
my smartphone is set to “Vibrate Only” or “Do Not Disturb”?
No, you’ll need to turn those off to receive sound notifications on your LibreLinkUp
app.
Do I need to have my
LibreLinkUp app
open to receive notifications?
No, your LibreLinkUp app does not need to be open or running to get notifications if
you’ve opened and signed into the app21 at least once.
Can I customize my
notification
settings for each Connection?
Yes, you can customize your notification settings by Connection.
Can I use the
LibreLinkUp app without
registering for a new account or signing into the app?
No, you will need to create a LibreView24 account or sign into an
existing account before using your LibreLinkUp21 app.
I can’t log into my
LibreLinkUp app.
Should I reset my password?
Yes, follow these steps to reset your password:
Tap the Navigation Menu
Tap Get Started
Tap Sign In
Tap Forgot Password
Enter the email address you used to create your account
Tap Done
Check your email for a link to reset your password
Click on the link to enter your new password
Sign in to your LibreLinkUp app using your new password
If I already have a
LibreView account, can I use it to log into my LibreLinkUp app?

Yes, you can use the same email address for both apps13,21.
Can I connect with a
LibreLink app user who has a LibreView account from a different country/region?

Please read and understand the following information related to the use of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System and consult your healthcare provider for any clarifications or queries related to your treatment of diabetes:
Indication for use:
The FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System is indicated for measuring interstitial fluid glucose levels in people (age 4 and older) with diabetes mellitus. The indication for children (age 4 - 17) is limited to those who are supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age.
It is designed to replace blood glucose testing in the self-management of diabetes with the exceptions listed below. Under the following circumstances, use a blood glucose meter to check the current glucose readings from the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System Sensor.
Conditions when a blood glucose test with finger prick is required:
During times of rapidly changing glucose levels, interstitial glucose levels as measured by the sensor and reported as current may not accurately reflect blood glucose levels. When glucose levels are falling rapidly, glucose readings from the Sensor may be higher than blood glucose levels. Conversely when glucose levels are rising rapidly, glucose readings from the sensor may be lower than blood glucose levels.
In order to confirm hypoglycemia or impending hypoglycemia as reported by the sensor.
If symptoms do not match the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System reading. Do not ignore symptoms that may be due to low blood glucose or high blood glucose.
